Day to Day

Children need to bring their own packed lunch however hot lunches will be available soon.

Tea and snacks offered daily.

Parents with children with a special dietary requirement may be asked to sign an additional consent form and/or complete a risk assessment.

Daily record sheets for children under two years of age includes information on rest and sleep, nappies and toileting, food and drinks as well as their involvement in play and focused activities.

·         The staff at Huggetts Day Nursery and Pre-School will take time at the end of each session to discuss the child’s day

·         The opportunity is always available for appointments to be made with senior staff for discussions of a sensitive or confidential nature

·         Parent consultation appointments

·         Parents/carers are encouraged to visit the setting before accepting a place

·         Parents/carers are free to stay with their child to settle in

·         Huggetts Day Nursery and Pre-School operates an open and honesty policy

Basic Needs:

·         A daily routine, though structured, allows for each child’s needs to be met

·         Quiet areas for rest and sleep

·         Individual bed linen is supplied

·         All sheets laundered daily

·         Independent kitchenette for preparation and storage of baby and toddler foods

·         Child size toilets and wash basins
